Supplement 4:         Example Jazz Chords

Jazz chords involve all standard chords, including majors, minors, 7th, 9th, 11th, and 13th chords, plus all altered versions of them, but the Jazz “feel” is obtained by using mostly altered versions.  The following charts provide examples of many Jazz chords.  Observe further that the following 6th, 7th, and 9th chords are also common to the Blues.
